NADman
I remember my Dad bringing home a burlap (100 lb. potato) sack of peanuts every Christmas. They couldn't have cost much because we were poor. Although that was a long time ago. My LF walks to a local park everyday, rain or shine, hot or cold, as it is now, to feed her squirrel and crow friends. So I thought I'd buy her some unsalted peanuts in the shell for Christmas. After much searching this is the best deal I found. $40.00 bucks for 10 lbs. Nuts. Got the sunflower seeds instead.
oldtimer
Half the year here at kroger I buy unsalted in the shell peanuts for a $1 per 12oz bag. Human food grade, roasted. Sometimes they have raw, but not so much this year as in the past. When they are not on sale I think it's somewhere in the $1.30 range.
