WallyWal
hey jus, after looking the dd 5.1 set up tips on yur website i got a question. What is the master volume set at on the control pod when using the eq settings recommended by donald? Oh and what does it mean -/+ 3 decibles? justin_tx_16
up or down by 3dB gain. it really depends on each setup. I think I kept mine set at around 65 because that was solid black no noise at all, at around 75 i get a buzzzzzzzz so I could go up to around 70 on the control pod and then control it via the DD-51. Donald1800
Lately I've had the Control Pod main gain set at maximum, +80db, and the DD5.1 set at around -10 to -5db depending upon the input source. I prefer to have a 'volume' adjustment range at the DD5.1 greater than I will ever need. I found that on some source material I was runing the DD5.1 volume too close to 0db when the Pod gain was set lower. My particular DD5.1/PM5.1 system is VERY quiet, and has discernable noise only when your ear is placed on the speaker grill during no-signal input.
