dubai2000 Posted January 1, 2003 Share Posted January 1, 2003 I am actually trying to get Telefunken tubes, but they are: a-rare b-costly Anyway, with the Eico I begin to get a very faint sizzling sound in the left channel, so I suppose it's time to look for different tubes anyway. NOSValves Posted January 1, 2003 Share Posted January 1, 2003 Wolfram, The sizzleling sound on your 81 sounds like it would be a tube not getting good connection in the socket carefully with the amp on and your fingers covers with light cotton gloves roll the tubes in there sockets with the volume low.
