snegri
I am using my Synergy SP1's in our child's playroom connected to a Marantz system....I have the one connected to the Sub out on the head unit and then from the one speaker out to the other speaker in. Incidentally, this is the same way I have my Reference series speakers connected to the home theater system in the family room. The Problem: No Subwoofer Output....but.....if you take the RCA cable and only insert (touch) the make portion into the female portion of your speaker you will now have a working sub. If I were to completely connect the rca jack to the speaker where the jack makes full contact...the sub will no have no output. Why is this happening???????? It is only receiving part of the connect ie...only the (+) connection and not the (-).
justin_tx_16
this happened to me with an RCA plug going from a VCR to my TV... how did I fix that. it totally beseeches me at the moment (great diction haha). seems like there was a bad sldering job either on the connector or the plug... Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted January 29, 2003 Klipsch Employees Share Posted January 29, 2003 The sp1 does not need the rca to make the sub work, as it should. Just use the standard speaker wire to connect. My guess is that the speaker output and rca output on your receiver is out of phase... therefore canceling the sub output...
