michaelwjones Posted October 8, 2022 Share Posted October 8, 2022 Another pair of Monster Z Series speaker cables as thick as your thumb. These 10’ bi-wire cables are just over 1/2" thick. A person knowledgable with Monster advised these are likely the Z2 version. They are in good shape with no electrical or mechanical issues. There is a cosmetic issue wherein the exterior braid has pulled out of the cable end, exposing the inner workings; please see photo 3. The plus side is you see the copper cables are not corroded internally. Another plus is it is on the amp end, so less likely to be seen. This pair has Monster interchangeable connection termination. Currently it is set up all banana tips with one spare included. Various tips show up regularly on eBay. Interestingly, with no tips screwed in, the pins work well with vintage plastic push connections due to the notch in the pin ends. Whether they live up the Monster’s marketing is debatable, but they are decent cables and will certainly impress your non-audiophile friends. While not cheap at my asking price, in today’s inflationary marketplace notwithstanding zipcord, they are not overly expensive IMHO. $100 with shipping included. Please email any questions. Thanks.
