JohnA Posted January 12, 2003 Share Posted January 12, 2003 You might try a pair of ASL Wave AV-8s, $99 ea. + S&H. I was not satisfied with them powering my La Scalas, but they had plenty of power. I don't like "Tube sound". Many people in several places on the internet and supposedly in the printed press RAVE about them and their sound. mobile homeless Posted January 12, 2003 Share Posted January 12, 2003 John, while I see where you are coming from, saying you dont like "tube sound" after listening to a pair of ASL Wave 8 amps is like someone saying they dont like all "solid state" sound after listening to an NAD 2100. All tube amps are not created equal, just the same as solid state.
