RF-82 vs Heresy I

Hello Forum,

I own and appreciate a pair of RF82s. But now I have the opportunity to purchase a pair of Heresy I. Has anyone ever had experience? Can we expect a big difference in sound?

Best regards

Hello,

I've owned both.  My 2 cents:

If you're going to use it for just music:

I would go Heresy (50-17,000hz) paired with a musical sub or two

If you don't want to use a sub, I would go with the RF-82's (33-24,000hz) for a fuller low end sound... but you will lose a little high end definition

If you're going to use it just for home theater:

I would use the RF-82's.  In a home theater, most of the critical content goes to the center and the subwoofer. The RF-82's are at the correct hight, so you wouldn't need stands.

If you're going to use it for both:

I would go with either or... as long as you pair it with decent subs.

Heresy 1 .....   it hits you like a ton of bricks ,  or you're deaf .detail in the vocals  is gonna blow you away

RF-82 is modern sound  , totally different  .

Thank you for your replies and your experiences. That sounds very interesting.

I only use my speakers to play music.
Mostly rock and metal, either from Spotify or vinyl. I also use a subwoofer.

I think I'll give the Heresy a try.
