Seeker
I have a set of Cornwalls I purchased in 1980 which I dearly love. I also have another pair I picked up from one of my old watering holes of the past (aka/a bar). I'm not sure when they were originaly built. They don't have, nor do they appear to have ever had a front grill cover. To make a long story shorter, over the years of baby's becoming children. The subwoofers on them (the watering hole pair) have been completly trashed. (cones torn/ripped) Does anybody know where I can get them fixed or of a suitable subwoofer I can get to replace them? I love their sound and don't want to give them up! Ultimatley would like to match them up with a front & rear center channel and a center subwoofer for a 6.1 surround sound HT system. fini
Tell the truth: You broke 'em playing Quidditch in the house, dinna ya? Lots of folks find replacement K-33 woofers on Ebay. Keep an eye out. Are both trashed? If you choose to have a competent shop recone them, you might consider doing both woofers anyway, so you're assured a matched pair, sound-wise. Welcome to the forum. I'm 47, too, so you can trust me... fini

fini
You used to have a few layin' around, as I recall, Jim. Been letting the kids use them to slide down snow-covered hills? Ooh, I guess it would require some serious mods to eliminate magnet drag... Take care, fini
IndyKlipschFan
Seeker for the little more $$ you will pay Klipsh to get new (parts) you will at least get the origional speakers backed my Klipsch too...That will perform as they are meant too. I second calling Klipsh.
markw
Agreed on ordering from Klipsch. I replaced one of my tweeters on (then) 20 year old set of Cornwalls and I can't tell which one's which. I just went to my local dealer and they ordered the part for me. - installed it myself - nothing to it. Cheers, Mark
