Diggs
Decided I'd try the Microsoft Advanced AV Pack. Low and behold, it works! Monster is now on my **** list.
dblue
All right man! Give Halo a try...best sound in a game yet. By a long shot! Listen when you go through one of the BIG doors on Assault on the Control Room. Especially with a big sub!
mattbugz
Hey Diggs, I have the MS AV pack using an optical to connect to my receiver as well. I was going to post a problem in regards to cracking I'm hearing on RB-3's when playing Ghost Recon. I think I need to adjust the XBox settings and try again! Thanks! Diggs
Interesting. I haven't played Ghost Recon yet, but if I do, I'll listen for any distortion/crackling. Thanks for the heads up.
dblue
mattbugz The insane Crackling you hear on Ghost Recon is a bug in the sound. My friend thought he had blown his surrounds, he brought it over and low and behold, the same sound came shooting out of my RS-3s. Don't worry, it's not your equipment, just buggy programming/sound encoding.
mattbugz
The cracking within the game is one of the reasons I returned my synergy speakers for reference series. Regardless of whether it's a bug or not, I think i'll stick to my reference series. Thanks for letting me know!
Bruinsrme
Hey Diggs, Isn't it amazing that the $20 by Microsoft works so much better than the $60 monster POS. You might also note that it now has the option of DTS as well. Happy gaming Scott
