Whats up with these epic speakers. Were they just thrown to the side? I never hear of anybody owning them. And the only pictures or mention of them are in the Promotional ads. Anyone know anything about them. Size, Sen. rating, power handling, etc. They look like great speakers. Are they worth gettin if I could get my hands on them?

I have a pair of Epic CF4. They are very good speakers. They do not sound as much like other Klipsch speakers as, uh, the other Klipsch speakers do.

The Epic series, IMHO, has better imaging, a "sweeter" top end, just as much sensitivity and equally low distortion as the other Klipsch lines. It does not have the Klipsch "slam" factor, or whatever you want to call it... the dynamic, explosive, alive sound that most of the other Klipsch speakers have. I have a pair of KG4 that I bought in 1985, and they sound more, er, Klipschish than the CF4 do.

Don't get me wrong, here... the CF4 are really good speakers. If B&W made them, they'd sell a zillion. However, my CF4 are sitting at my brother in law's place waiting until I clean out a spot in my office for them, while at home my wife and I are very, very much in love with our 1974 La Scalas.

I absolutely love my Epic CF-2's. But like Ray said they are most certain a different type beast than say the heritage line. This can be a good or bad thing, that's for you to decide. For me it's a good thing. Great depth and soundstage....

Hey Melvin. The search feature worked for you , huh? The Epics are long gone. Somewhere in Oklahoma. Sorry. Welcome to the Klipsch forum!

I was just looking for another pair of CF-4's. Last week I bought a pair on ebay in brand new condition from a 70 year old gentleman for $1300 including the shipping! After shipping costs I probably only paid about $800 for the pair-I was very fortunate. The guy said they were in flawless condition and he was not kidding! They had not even a scuff anywhere on them. I hope I should live as long as to get another deal like this one.
