mopar dave
while i was in my cornwalls the other day i noticed a lable on the new k33, it listed the woofer at 4 ohm's. how could this be, the CW's are listed as 8 ohm speakers? could klipsch have sent the wrong one? i ordered it for a CW. the other speaker has a used k33 with square magnet. the new one has a round magnet. also, my yamaha rx-v2092 has an omh switch on back for 4 or 8 ohm speakers, where should this be set? please respond dave
JohnA
All K-33s are 4 ohms nominal. It should measure about 3.2 ohms DC. the K-33 is a horn driver, the Cornwall was adapted to use it. The midrange rises to the 70 ohm range, so 8 ohms is a sort of average rating.
