JohnA
Hey Don, Where did you get your grille cloth? What did you use? That's a VERY good job! How much time did it take? A runt La Scala would make a great center for me.
digjr
Hey John, Thank you. The grille cloth is from partsexpress.com, just their regular black. I should have kept better track of my time but it was always a little here, a little there. I would say, including design time, 40+ hours for the pair. The reason I wanted to try the project was exactly the intention that you have. To be used as a center or for a smaller set of surrounds. I am really pleased with the sound, I honestly didn't know what to expect but I am very happy with the results. Thanks again. Don
digjr
The name "Baby Belle" evolved as the project progressed. But I can't argue that "runt" is also appropriate.
KAiN64
Nice! By the way, I couldn't help noticing the Nintendo NES/SNES on the right!
jt1stcav
I can't get over the high level of craftsmanship in the building of your lil' runts! My dad has the same woodworking abilities as you (he works for a pipe organ servicing firm in CT and can build pneumatic windchests that look like fine furniture...I didn't inherit that trait unfortunantly). HDBRbuilder should notice your work. It's a shame you don't build cabinets for Klipsch. (or do you?)
digjr
jt1, Thanks. No I don't work for Klipsch, I started dubbing around with a few cabinets last summer while I was waiting to get my neck repaired. I needed something to do to maintain a little sanity. I finally had a fusion done at the t2-t3 level in March and things are improving. I thought it would be a challenge and at the same time might fill a niche for people who don't have room for the full size model. I also thought they might work well as a center or as surrounds. Time will tell. Thanks again, Don
