Billabong1083
I'm looking in to buying a pair of 78 heresys. I curently have a panasoonic SA-HE200 (130 wpc). Will this be enough to power the heresys and make them sound good? Thanks!
cyclonecj
Welcome to the forum! The maximum rated power for Heresy is 105 wpc. I am not familiar with the Panasonic, but I can tell you that you need to make sure it has a very clean output. Heritage speakers will show up every flaw in your system. M6 Driver
It'll take just a few watts of good clean power to chase you out of the room. I've got mine running off a 60 watt Yamaha and it doesn't take much to make them sing.

I used 2 of my Heresy's to play music at my daughters 16th birthday party. It was outside on a cement patio. I was using a 60wpc amp, & it was VERY loud, and I had many comments on the quality of the sound from teens & adults alike.

Billabong1083
Thanks for all the help. The owner i'm going to buy them from sent a picture of the paper on the back. He said he bought the speakers in the late 70s, but doesn't remember exactly when. Can someone tell by what is written on the paper what year they are and any other important info. Thanks

garymd
BTW - It's the "Y" that corresponds to the year. 1983 it is. The seller must have his decades mixed up. Hey, I hardly remember the 70s either. Or the 80s for that matter.
