joshnich
I just took possession of my new Cornwalls They are 1984s in cherry with cane cloth and all is well. Now I have immediately begun to think that I want to change the K-57M to an older K-55 with a cast horn. Is this something that is done? I just dont like the fact that the horn is plastic and would love to have the cast horn like my old 78's. The crossover is a B-3. Thanks in advance. Audible Nectar
Swapping the resin (plastic) horn for a metal one will be causing a problem, not solving one. The metal horns tend to ring at higher SPL's - something the resin horns don't do. Many here on the forum who have metal horns dampen them with rope caulk to prevent ringing - the plastic horns don't have this problem. fini
A much better solution would be for you to buy my '79's... Like you've got room! fini
