v.2-400 problem - front right channel, please help

I've had my v.2-400's for 4 years, and this is the first problem I've had with them...

Yesterday I noticed my front right speaker was almost completely out (by putting my ear up to the speaker at loud volume, I could faintly hear music.) So I swapped my front right and rear right speakers to see if it was the actual speaker that was damaged...nope, it seemed that whichever speaker was plugged into the front right position would only play very low volumes.

Ok, well could it be the wire? I took the wire that I normally use for my front RIGHT speaker and swapped it on the back of the amp to the front LEFT channel. In turn I switched the original front LEFT wire to the front RIGHT channel. After that fact, I noticed that it was now the speaker in the front LEFT position (plugged into the front right channel) that was having the problem.

Ok, so its not the speaker thats damaged, and its not the wire thats damaged. Whatever I plug into the front RIGHT channel on the back of the amp has problems. What does this mean? I have tried wiggling the wires to make sure the connection is solid...to no avail. Can the connection on the back of the amp go bad all of the sudden? What should I do??

Confused klipsch owner,

Mitch
