justin_tx_16
So, what is the science about warming up the amp? Is this only with tubes (seems to be) and is it just the actual heat or is it the fact that it has been on all day, if it was heat heck, I could just put it on the windowsill hehe. Thanks again. Deang
With tube gear, it has to do with thermal stability. Though most people claim to hear improvement a few hours into listening -- things are pretty well settled in between 5 and 20 minutes. I think most of this is psycoacoustic, as we tend to get more relaxed as we listen. I just think it's the ears opening up as the brain checks out. I really think it's just going to take some time for that unit to break in.
justin_tx_16
Well, it is a used amp so it should have been broken in by now... right? Do the tubes have to be broken in? if so, those tubes might be newer and maybe not broken in. Of the tubes I have, which would you say are the best? I am totally clueless when it comes to tubes, sorry
