Q-Man
Any one know what the Klipsch Type E-2 network was used in?

Malcolm
Yep, last Heresys, with the K-53-K squawker driver in place of the K-55-V.
Q-Man
Thanks for the replys. I was also told that this same network was used in the Cornwall. Can this be true?
djk
Change one cap , delete another, move the taps = cornwall network. Or type A Klipschorn network for that matter.
WMcD
Yeah, I'm in agreement. PWK seemed to in those days use an inductor for the woofer. Then the autotransformer was used to reduce the level to the mid and tweeter to match. So they're mostly alike. Gil
Q-Man
djk, Can you explain what you said to change in more detail? I see a 33uF barrel shaped cap hooked to the (+) & (-) of the woofer. There are two 2.0uF box shapped (caps?). One goes to the (+)input and to the #5 tap. The other one goes to the (-) tweeter and the #3 tap. If needed, I can post a picture of them. I picked these networks up to use in a Cornwall build. I decided to use up some of my spare parts to build a pair. I'll eather give them to my son in college to replace his KG-5.5's or sell them to someone.
djk
"Can you explain what you said to change in more detail? I see a 33uF barrel shaped cap hooked to the (+) & (-) of the woofer." Take the 33µF cap off, now the woofer side will be just like a type B network. "There are two 2.0uF box shapped (caps?). One goes to the (+)input and to the #5 tap." Change this cap to 4µF. "The other one goes to the (-) tweeter and the #3 tap." Move this cap up to tap #4. Move the squawker wire up to tap #3 If needed, I can post a picture of them.
