Craig6519
Does anybody have links to some sites that specialize in refurbishing and selling vintage tube tuners? I really want one for my existing set up. Thanks Craig
kjohnsonhp
Les from Classic Audio Repair in Dallas can restore/repair a vintage tuner. You can buy the item on ebay and have him do the updating. The Scott tuners are popular...see hhscott.com. Of course there are others like a matching EICO. I have a Scott 355 AM/FM tuner/pre-amp which is attached. email me at kjohnsonhp@comcast.net and I'll get you contact info for Classic Audio. Dflip
Craig: I posted this earlier today. Foster does not have a link, but the email address is listed below. He was more than willing to send messages back and forth with information. He has a good number of Scotts and will select the one he has that will best match your equipment or needs. For tuners, there are used ones on the market, I picked up a used Scott from Foster Blair(fjblair@comcast.net) for about $175 and it works great with a Yagi antenna on the roof. Foster has a large stock on Scott tuners at his place, I believe in Virginia. He was a pleasure to deal with.
