om13934
I bought a Denon DRA-1035R optical class receiver in about '93. It has 100w/channel and four channels. It was $975.00 new. Is it worth anything to anyone now? Does anyone have an estimate as to what it might go for on sale. It is like new in original packaging, and including all manuals and an unused LCD remote. Allan Songer
I always thought that things "optical" had to do with vision, not hearing . . .
om13934
You can't be serious? The word "optical" refers to the mode of transferring digital data within the receiver and between larger components and outputs. It uses a fiber optic cable to transfer data instead of copper or gold wires. It's much cleaner and the signal is stronger.
mobile homeless
Allan had tongue planted firmly in cheek. By the way, some are not in favor of the optical approach. As for the amp's worth, I have no idea. IT wouldnt be a big seller here, however. Have you looked on ebay and other online sales sites? kh
