Bill H.
first off welcome to the form! Just realize your listening thru good speakers now-remember where you came from. Pass on the receiver-Unless they can provide you with a remote-that works,i.e. original type.... jmho
Vladi
Can you find out which receiver model it was? You can order remote from Sony.
STL
Better yet spend less -- only $50 or so -- and get a Sony VL900 universal (programmable and learning) remote. It also has 11 macros you can setup too. Once programmed for a Sony rec'r it should do most everything the original remote would -- even it is missing a few things you could just teach them to your remote (at the store using their display remote or at a friend's house who has a Sony rec'r). My Sony ES rec'r only came with a medicore remote; the VL900 is much better. BTW, I cannot tell you if that price is a good deal unless you post the model number.
