sheltie dave Posted September 30, 2003 Share Posted September 30, 2003 If there is enough interest, how about a get together in St. Louis at our house on either Saturday, November 8 or November 15 for some food, beers, and serious listening. I will (hopefully) be done in Washington state and be back home, with some bear sausage in hand, another two sets of heresys, another three LK-72s, and some great CDs. I have talked to Thom, the owner of Flip's, and he is trying to line up a co-owner of Eastern Electric to come down from Chicago to give a presentation and demo of their newer tube preamp that Kelly et al have conversed on in a recent thread. An audio engineer friend is going to run an audio analysis of our listening room, and Phil will let us know just how bad the listening environment is, and also what steps we can take to improve the sow's ear. Arf, Henry, Maron, and some of the lurkers, let us know and we can get a good crowd together and have some fun listening, arguing, and telling tall tales. Keep me in the loop and have patience as I learn to cope with disease. I have some November possible conflicts, but let's see what happens...
