whiteknee
Anybody used the OmniMount 60.0 CA (or WB) to mount Heresy II's from the ceiling (wall)? I'm interested in any positive/negative experiences - gotchas, etc.

cyclonecj
Does it need to be wall/ceiling mounted? I mounted my rear channel Heresy's on a 4' stand. It was very cheap & easy to build. They do loose a bit of bass, but for the surrounds, it did not make a big difference.
avman
timely topic for avman... the '82 cornwalls i just got are up front now, w/the '85 heresey2's moved to the rear for surround duty... any other ideas/suggestions? what about a wall/ceiling mount for a small tv used for the hereseys instead? HWATKINS-the in-ceiling install looks GREAT!! what thread did you post the steps under? t.i.a.-avman.
hwatkins
I'll try to post the drawings I made for another boarder as an attachment. I'll have to get that from home puter this evening. The pictures with description are better than verbage...
avman
thanks-even though i don't plan on moving, i have some reservations about the in ceiling install. i will show the picture to the s.o. though, and if she likes it i may go that route. the omnimounts look good as well. avman. whiteknee
Thanks for the input - I think I've decided on the OmniMounts. I need to mount the Heresys above furniture on the rear wall so a stand won't work. I saw a custom center channel on one of the posts. Will Klipsch sell a tweeter, midrange and crossover separately? cyclonecj
I am one of the many people with a custom center. I priced out the parts new & on E-bay, & found it was cheaper to buy a pair of Heresy's & just keep one for a spare. It worked out great, as I also ended up using the empty cabinet as a sub.
