llordanich
Interested in how to evaluate this combo. Does anybody have experience with this combination? I am thinking of a complete 5.1 setup with Klipsch RS-7s and RC-7. Any thoughts on using the lower spec center/surround speakers with the RF-7s? Nubee! Thanks, Lawrence. itsmyforte
anything less than the 7 series won't keep up with the rf7's. the rf7's are very dynamic and their sensitivity requires a huge center like the rc7 to keep up, same goes for the surrounds. TheEAR
Not a good idea, having two pairs of RF7's and pretty much the whole R lineup at home the RC7 is the ONLY viable choice here. The smaller center speakers in the R series are low end and will compromise the overall performance. I would even like Klipsch to design and build a full size true RC7 using on the RF7 drivers. Get the RC7,anything less and its a major compromise.
ssh
LAWRENCE, I have used a Marantz sr9200 with an RC7center & two RC7 rear centers.Although my front & rear speakers are the Heratige line,I've been pleased with the Marantz & Reference combination. Welcome to the forum. SSH
Dylanl
I also have a Marantz/ Klipsch set up and the sound is very warm. I think the other post are correct in that any other center than the RC7 would not measure up. I would be interested making my own center channel. Do any of you have ideas as to building a center that would be more compatable?
Audio Flynn
I had seriously considered the SR-19 before i bought my Sherwood Newcastle separates. Sweet unit. I agree with the guys. The RF-7 needs the RC-7; the RC-3 would be a liability.
Audio Flynn
I would like to hear RB-75 as the rear channel with DVD Audio. Have not seen a set up like that to audition.
