gtDark
After hearing about other SVS cylinder owners laying their subs horizontally (rather than the natural vertical position) to increase the WAF I decided to try it myself and see how it sounded. Well all I can is WOW! Well actually that's not all I can say. I can't really say enough about how much better this suits my particular room and musical tastes. There is much more punchy, full, audible bass which is simply great for music. The sub is much less directional too. Drawbacks you ask? Nothing really as far as I can tell thus far: less vibration, which is good for me, because the vibrations are what got the cops called on me multiple times (rattled the next door neighbor's pictures). So my suggestion to other cylinder owners is at least try the horizontal position and see what they think, it's easy enough just to lean back up.
