sound meister
Has anyone flown a pair of lascalas as an array? I'm looking for opinions on the correct splay angles and any other info you may have to offer. I'm flying them on a 21' ceiling. I have the bracing, and rigging stuff worked out, but I want it to sound good too! I have been using them in a church building for about 15 years, and just got permission to move them out int the auditorium where they belong! IndyKlipschFan
I hope you meant 21' (or feet) and not 21" (inches) for your ceiling..LOL.. Of course you did. They will fly nice.. you may want to turn the tops if they are split upside down...(tweeters on the bottoms..) have seen this done many times. Also a centralised sub below too, 60- 30 Htz to give the "UMPH" might be necessary depending on the room too. My 2 cents.
sound meister
Oops! yes, 21 feet of course...I will be flying them inverted. Any idea on the splay angle?
JohnA
The Horns are 40 x 90 degrees. That usually means the -6 dB point is at the 90 deg. extremes in the Horizontal plane. I'd angle them no more than 90 deg. apart between centerlines. This is a perfect question for the Pro Audio Sections.
