mca_bagom
Hi, Well I got a Denon 2200 going into a Denon 3803 and I cannot seem to figure out how to make the DTS light come on the DVD player or receiver. I tried using both LOTR extended version, Gladiator, and PoTC. Am I doing something wrong?
MrMcGoo
Chances are that you have not enabled the DVD player's output to provide a DTS bitstream. Use your owner's manual to find the proper setup menu for the DVD player to enable the DTS bitstream. Also, when you play a DTS DVD, you usually have to select the DTS output in audio setup on the DVD disk. Most disks default to the Dolby Digital sound track. Your 3803 will detect and automatically play the DTS bitstream once the player outputs it. Bill
Frzninvt
You have to specifically designate the DTS soundtrack by going to the audio set up menu on your DVD player, otherwise it will default to Dolby Digital automatically.
PKuziel
I just went through this with my Rotel. What I had to do was run a line from the digital out of the DVD player to the digital in of the reciever. Now once that is done you need to enable the DTS feature in your DVD players master set up menu and you should be good to go.
