jzoz01
In the market for a new reciever. The only dealer in town only carries Sony ES and Integra. Has anyone had any expirience with them? I'm looking at the DTR-7.

hwatkins
I am just flat out not a fan of Sony - I vote for the Integra as well - IMHO only...

jzoz01
Well it's really not a question of the sony es vs. the integra, it's more a question of buy the integra from my local dealer or make a treck down to minneapolis and get a denon 3803. I really like denon and have had a lot of luck with them, but i'd prefer to buy locally. It makes it a lot easier if i ever have any problems. OnMedic
I wound have to cast my vote for the Integra. Sony is great at some things, but high-end audio isn't one of them. If I am correct, Integra is the "up-line" of Onkyo and both are prime competitor to Denon and Yamaha.
HTMAN21
Get the Integra. I bought a Denon 4802 last year and it was like other Denons that I have owned. Sound is shallow and thin (almost bright). This was on Paradigm Monitor 11's. I returned it and got the Integra 8.4 and have never regretted the exchange. I now have Klipsch RF35'S. I auditioned them with a 4802 and they sounded terrible. I use them with a Rotel 1066 and Sherbourne 5/1500A. The difference is night and day. The Rotel/Sherbourn sound quality is superior.
