boa12
i've started takin a peek at some of these klf on ubid. however they show the "warranty from klipsch" at 1 yr on the C7 & 3 yr on the klf-10. however my legend maunual shows a 5 yr for all of them. what's the deal there? maybe some sacrifice there for the lower price? ------------------ Klipsch KLF 30 (front), KLF C7, Cornwall I (rear) Velodyne HGS-18 sub woofer Monsterbass 400 sub interconnect & Monster CX-2 biwire & Z1 cable Marantz SR-8000 receiver Sony DVP-C650D 5-disk cd/dvd player Sony Trinitron 27" stereo tv Toshiba hi-fi stereo vcr Technics dual cassette deck Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2100 digital cable box Boa's Listenin Lounge: Klipsch RF-3, RC-3 Monster MCX Biwires Sony STR-DE935 a/v receiver Kenwood KR-9600 AM/FM stereo receiver (vintage 1975) Russound AB-2 receiver switch to RF-3 Teac PD-D1200 5-disk cd changer Technics SL-1950 turntable/AT LS500 cartridge rock on! decibel man
The warranty is, as usual, the full five years. I think UBid has their head in the wrong place when it comes to the warranty timeline. They are a convenient evil. I have received 2 CD changers, 2 DVD players, a nice phone, a LF-10 subwoofer, a nice VCR and one broken DVD changer. When I won the LF-10 I called Klipsch and they verified that the full warranty would be in place, 2 years on the amp and 5 years on the drivers and cabinet. There are some awesome deals on the Legacy speakers right now. I wish I had some extra cash. It just isn't fair. The only product that I received DOA from UBid was the Toshiba SD4109 DVD changer, it had no picture. They paid for the return shipping and gave me a full credit. And I almost forgot, I won a nice audio component storage rack and UPS lost the damn thing. Wouldn't you know it was a one time item for UBid. They were real good about getting with UPS and getting me my refund. The rack (a piece of furniture) made it all the way to my home town sorting center and got lost. You know there is some UPS worker with a friggin pioneer/optimus system on my rack as my equipment is in some Suader or Bush piece of crap. Oh the agony! Just my two cents!
