Johnny dB
If you're in the market for a classic, check it out. http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?ampstube&1079199930&class&3&4& Not a bad deal, but I'd contact the seller and see what's been done to it. 3dzapper
It's still a good deal if it hasn't been totally gone through. Just the tubes he's offering would go for over $200 on ebay Tele 12AX7s, Bugle Boy splitters and Tele 7189s plus a spare set of outputs. NOSValves
Heck Rick more then that actually ! if the Telefunken 7189s are on great shape they could bring near $200 with the right eBay ad those are very rare tubes. I have a set I'm keeping for a rainy day ! But really I have seen others and have bought 299A's with the same tubes for allot less. I would be very cautous about what was actually done to the amp ! It would be a shame if it had just enough to get it to work done to it. Craig
Johnny dB
I'm saving my 7189 telefunkens for... I don't know what the hell I'm saving them for. I took your advice Craig and put them up, though. I guess they're part of my retirement. I think I will pop them into my 299 and see what the big deal is.
