Al Klappenberger Posted June 19, 2001 Share Posted June 19, 2001 Hi Guys I have a couple of genuine Klipsch K55 squawker drivers here that I would like to get matched into a set. I have one virtually new K55-M and one used but good K55V. The "V" is the newer type having the improved phase plug. These can be identified by the solder connections rather then the push-on connections of the older type. I have run frequency response curves on both and they are both in good shape. I would like to make an even-up swap with somebody who has a single one of one type or the other to make up a matched pair. So.. anybody who has an "M" and wants a "V", or a solder-on connection "V" and wants an "M", let me know! Jim Cornell Posted June 19, 2001 Share Posted June 19, 2001 Hello Al, Do your crossovers tone down the mid drivers on the cornwalls? If so, ill be ordering a set a bit later this year! All i have arre the 4 cornwalls, and im afraid of getting in trouble listening to them at night, i work 6 days a week, 2-10 so all i have is the night time to listen to my cornwalls! Even turned up to 1 i can hear these outside, so ill have a choice, to work around this, or buy a smaller set of Klipsch for night time! I wonder if id have the same problems with a pair of heresys! That settles the question of "M" versus "V" in my mind. The two are virtually identical! I just want them to "look" like a set so I can put them on eBay! Al K.
