ulpian
Hello, I have Reference RF-35, RC-35, RW-12 and RS-35 speakers, and I'm going to get a 200w amp from Outlaw. I just notice that the speakers only rate at 125w, is it going to be ok with a 200w amp? or i will damage the speaker?
norcuron
You will be fine. I run a Carver TFM-45 amp (375wpc) to my Chorus IIs and it has worked great. Listen to your speakers when you play them and you will know when to stop turning them up. Mark
toddvj
If you want a second opinion, Norcuron is right. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, your speakers will be fine.

prodj101
you'll be fine. you probably won't take your speakers beyond 5 watts anyway.
SteelerFan
Better a big amp that cruises versus a small one you have to run so hard it clips.
ulpian
reading other threads, ppl talk about amp/speaker clipping, what is clipping anyway?
WS65711
The peaks of the audio waveform are cut off (clipped). At an extreme, your speaker can end up seeing what looks very much like a DC signal. Clipping occurs when an amp is driven past its power output capability, and it basically "runs out of steam" to produce a normal audio waveform.
