Juba310
I'm in the market to buy a sub to match up with my pair of RB-5ii's and pioneer receiver. Im going to be using it for music more than movies. I'd say about 65% music, 35% movies. I have a limited budget of about 600 dollars.... maybe 700 MAX. I would like to spend less, as long as performance isnt dramatically cut. So far, i've considered the RSW-10, RW-12, SVS Pci series, and the SVS box pb1. So far it seems as if the SVS delivers the best performance for the buck, and i'm almost set on getting some type of SVS. I would appreciate some opinions for people that own these subs, or can reccomend me a different sub that you feel would do an even better job. I'm almost set on getting an svs, but i'd really like to hear some feedback before i put forward a sum of money on it. Thanks in advance
RWMIN
SVS, HSU, Paradigm PW 2200 and RSW 12. Some cost more then you want to spend. I think you'd get the most bang for the buck from SVS for $500 - $600 for sure and they guaruntee satisfaction.
SickPuppy
I'm voting for the SVS, I know when I can afford it, I will be getting a SVS product, and probably give the ksw 12 to my son to abuse,LOL
Taylor189
You must be a pretty cool dad... unfortunately my dad isn't into sound stuff AT ALL (he is satisfied with the speakers that came with the TV), and I don't get any "hand-me-down" subs. SickPuppy
Hehe, momma doesnt think I'm too cool right now....I gave him my old JVC reciever and the DLK model 3 loudspeakers I'd had for 20 years. He's 13 and into music alot. The 12's in those loudspeakers went south due to age, so since he's into hiphop and rap and rock, I put in some Audiobahn 1251's that I found on-line for 42 bucks apiece. I then got a good deal on a Onkyo 100wpc reciever so he is shakin stuff off the walls when he annouces hes gonna "do some bassin'" in his room.......wait till I get the SVS..... SteelerFan
It's my opinion that SVS will give you more performance for your $600-$700 than just about any other subwoofer.
Juba310
I just ordered a SVS 25-31 PCi sub :]. Tom was very helpful in answering all my questions very quickly. Now to wait for that blasted backorder to go away...
engeng
I was just in the same connundrum (sp?) and ordered the 20-39PCi from SVS. I'll let you know how I like it if you can wait. Hopefully it won't be on backorder - no shipment promise yet. I based my decision on threads from this forum since you can't easily demo one of these bad boy tubes.
