3dzapper Posted February 28, 2004 Share Posted February 28, 2004 The bluish glow must come from one of Dave's radioactive special stock. The blue glow is from a little gas inside the tube and the electrons exciting it. If Craig says that they are good tubes believe him. If you want to see blue you should see some Russian 300Bs after they have been on for a few hours. With the lights out they look like one of those Telsa globes at Spencer gifts. Craig said the 7591 tubes are weak so a new set will be one of the next things I have to buy. I guess I'll buy some of the EH tubes because I don't feel like forkin out the dough to get some NOS. I wish I could tell you how it sounds but I just got home a little while ago and once I got it hooked up everbody was sleeping. I guess I will have to shake the walls tomorrow.
