markdnlp
Last year I purchased four SB3's for front and rear, a KSW 12 sub, and an RC3II center. The RC3II actually should have been a Synergy model center but the RC3II was sent to my home by mistake at the price of the synergy center. I realize the Reference series is a step up but would the Synergy center be a better mix for the system that I have?
love_hertz
sounds like you got a great deal, keep the center for later upgrades. But for now it may have mismatch timbre, how does it sound to you if you like it than who cares!
Juba310
You should just hang onto it and buy a synergy center.
Griffinator
I concur. On first glance it looked like you said "SF-3" and I was going to say USE the RC-3! Obviously, with Synergy bookshelves, your reference center is going to bury them in the HF - you'll end up having to cut it down like 8dB to make the system listenable.
