Grateful11
This weekend my wife and I went yard selling as usual. I found a couple of interesting LPs, one is Cheech & Chong's "Big Bambu", vinyl near mint and still has the big sheet of rolling paper in it, cool! The other is a Roy Ayers 33 1/3rpm 12" single "Fast Money", same song on both sides, put out by Iciban Records, I've never seen this LP before, would it be a promo or something? I'm only vaguely familiar with Roy Ayers music. Grateful BTW: I also picked up a Pioneer SX-1050 Receiver, Pioneer SG-9500 Equalizer, Kenwood Timer and a Pioneer RT-909 reel to reel. garymd
I have a few promo lps with the same song on both sides. I guess those were made for either radio stations or DJs so they could play either side and get the same song. The library where I buy many of my used lps have dozens like that which came from a used record store that went out of business and donated their entire inventory. Also, you'll find the recording to be "pop" sounding in many cases. I have "Miss You" by The Stones with the same 20 minute version on each side with the bass really cranked up.
