Custom Glock Racing
I have a set of KG 4s as my mains and I am looking at the Pinncale Classic Gold Center to match. Any opinions, thoughts etc. Matt
myram
Why go with Pinnacle? You should really try to stick with the Klipsch name to match your KG4's. A KG 2.2v, or a KV 2 or KV3 would match up better. If you can't find any of those on www.ebay.com , a RC3 or even a KLF-C7 would work. ------------------ Home Theater System: Klipsch Quartets - mains for both systems Klipsch KV3 - center Klipsch KG.5's - rear surrounds Klipsch KSW12 subwoofer Denon AVR-1601 JVC 36D201 36" TV JVC HR-S3600 SVHS Player JVC XV-M565BK DVD Player Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2100 Digital Cable box Music System: Adcom GFA-555 Musical Concepts Modified NAD 1600 Pre/Tuner Sony C-67ES CD Player Playstation 2 Monster Power HTS-2000 MIT Speaker Cable RS Gold Interconnects Monster S-Video and Component Cables
htxpert
Hi I agree with Myram. The Pinnacle Classic Gold Center is a total miss match for your KG 4 Here is how they differ #1 The sonic characteristics of the two are different Tweeter (Audex),crossover, and build #2 Dispersion patterns are different #3 Efficency level is different Pans across the front speakers L/C/R will not be seemless, and regular voiced material will sound unatural A KLF-C7,RC-3,SC 1 or even the lowly SC.5 would be a better choice, All Klipsch Or if you have the $$ check out the RC-7 Happy Listening Ray
Custom Glock Racing
Thanks for the info guys. I was looking at the pinnacle because I can get it wholesale. Which of the Klipsch centers mentioned are in the $250-300 range? Matt
dougdrake2
CGR - I have a pair of KG4s, and I used a KV-3 center channel which matched very nicely. You can also use the KG2.2v or KV-2. They show up on Ebay from time to time, as they are not available new anymore. You can get any of them for around $200 or less. As a not-totally-self-serving aside , I will be selling my KV-3 as soon as I can pry another pair of Klipsch Fortes from a local contact. I no longer use my KG4s as my front speakers, so I am changing my center channel. I can you let you know when I am able to sell the KV-3, if you'd like. It is black in PERFECT condition.
