KG4 and Pinnacle Gold Center

Recommended Posts

Why go with Pinnacle? You should really try to stick with the Klipsch name to match your KG4's. A KG 2.2v, or a KV 2 or KV3 would match up better. If you can't find any of those on www.ebay.com , a RC3 or even a KLF-C7 would work.

Hi

I agree with Myram.

The Pinnacle Classic Gold Center is a total

miss match for your KG 4

Here is how they differ

#1 The sonic characteristics of the two are different

Tweeter (Audex),crossover,and build

#2 Dispersion patterns are different

#3 Efficency level is different

Pans across the front speakers L/C/R will not be seemless, and regular voiced material will sound

unatural

A KLF-C7,RC-3,SC 1 or even the lowly SC.5 would be a

better choice, All Klipsch

Or if you have the $$ check out the RC-7

Happy Listening

CGR - I have a pair of KG4s, and I used a KV-3 center channel which matched very nicely. You can also use the KG2.2v or KV-2. They show up on Ebay from time to time, as they are not available new anymore. You can get any of them for around $200 or less.

As a not-totally-self-serving aside Smile.gif, I will be selling my KV-3 as soon as I can pry another pair of Klipsch Fortes from a local contact. I no longer use my KG4s as my front speakers, so I am changing my center channel. I can you let you know when I am able to sell the KV-3, if you'd like. It is black in PERFECT condition.
