J.4knee
There seems to have been a number of updates and mods done to the Heresy 1 and 2's. I got to thinking of collecting a single source of Heresy mods. A poll if you will. So if you could answer just these three questions. What Heresy 1 or 2 mods did you do? Which mods you did and liked? And which ones you did and wanted to undo or did undo? Dave in Nashville
I have a set of older Heresy speakers that I use as center and rear in my home setup. I rebuilt the tweeters with kits I bought from Klipsch. I also replaced one of the woofers as well and installed a bucking magnet to minimize the effects of the magnetic field on my TV. I installed diagonal oak cross braces to the interior of the backs in order to make them less flexible. Finally, I cleaned the exteriors with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and oil and then sprayed on a couple of cans of polyurathane (the looks aren't as important to me as the sound). Mains: 77 LaScalas with ALK Crossovers Cent. & Rear: Heresys L & R: Kg4s Sub: Velodyne 1012 Receiver: Denon AVR 1803

dbflash
Replaced speaker wire strip with binding posts. Rewired internal wire with DH Labs Silver Sonic T14 wire. Added Deflex Panel on rear panel. Powered them back up and would not change anything I did to them. I am going to go back and rope chaulk them later, but they just sound so good now.
