kaaihue1
Are they still selling the Sony 5000es??? AT Sound Advice in Orlando they took them all off the shelves saying they were all recalled. I was looking at the sony, denon 3805, pioneer elite 55txi, and yamaha 2400. After about 3 months of back and forth over which one to get I chose the Denon 3805. Ilove it, I was upgrading from a Sony. I'll never look back. Ihad to watch all my movies again to hear what they're supposed to sound like. I'd recommend it, and if you buy at a store that has a 30 day trial that you can just bring it back for a different one,if you're not happy, all the better. Colin
You have both a Sony receiver and an solid-state harmon/kardon amplifier; what do you think? (Nothing but good reviews for vintage solid-state harmon/kardon receivers here)
whell
Colin: He's referring to the Harman Kardon AVR 630, not the older HK 630. However, I saw a "review" on the Asylum where someone hauled in an old HK 730 to a local retailer and compared it the new AVR x30 line. To his ears, the new line held up well against the old HK 730 unit he had.
Fish
I had the 7200 and the 630,the 630 was far superior of the two in sound to me.The Sony, well its a Sony.
