Hey gang,

Currently I just have 12 gauge wire with bare connectors from my Denon 3805 to the RF7's, what would you guys recommend for wire upgrades(Monster 1.5's, biwire vs. single, spades vs. bananas, .....). I will be adding an amp(200x5) soon. I'm open to opinions let 'em fly. Thanks. :o)

Don't waste your money with upgrading the wire itself. The 12-gauge wire you current have should be plenty good enough, unless, like was mentioned above, it is all green and corroded. If you want to add spades or banana-plugs, then by all means do so. I have banana-plugs on mine. It probably does not make any real difference in the audio quality, but it does make it easier to hook things up and makes for cleaner looking connectiona.

Theoretically, spades should probably be the best connector, since they have the highest contact surface area, but bananas are not that much worse, and most prefer them due to the cleanliness and ease of connections. I don't like using bare wire at all, for both oxidizing and cosmetic reasons. After all, if you sprung for RF-7s - might as well have connections that look pretty heh.
