dmk Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Hope somebody can make a suggestion here... The SA-AX6 has a subwoofer output that has a level control and a cut-off frequency control on the front panel of the receiver. If I want to use the receiver to control the sub, what should I have the controls on the subwoofer set to? Max volume and highest cut-off, mid points? Thanks, Doug Quote
meuge Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Always set the crossover as high as possible on the sub to let the receiver place the crossover and avoid cascading crossovers. As for the level controls, you can adjust it along with other speakers if you calibrate your frequency response with a dB meter. Quote
dmk Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 Thanks Meuge. I have hooked-up the stereo, and I think it sounds great. May be my imagination, but the bi-wire seems to make everything sound cleaner. Doug 1 Quote
