joshnich
Buyer beware.. Check out todays Wall Street Journal. Great article on the sophistication of ebay scammers. Kind of scares you. One of the examples was with high end speakers! Josh

Daddy Dee
A.F.E. Thanks for posting the link to the text. I'd even tried to subscribe to the online WSJ, no paper just web access. Couldn't tell if there wasn't such a subscription or if it's gateway was down. This scam was more sophisticated than I imagined.
coda
No surprise, the anonymity of the internet also compromises its integrity, on a somewhat related note, Amazon has started to encourage product reviewers to post their real names online, who knows where this trend may lead.. Dee, check out the free trial to the Online Journal link near the top right-hand column of the article. The WSJ indeed has some great writers, and regular reading does supplement the local news.. CaptnBob
Sounds like the detective offended someone in the police hierarchy. Transfered to the illegal importation of out of state soda bottles division? Don't they have real crimes to be worried about? Do captured offenders have to watch the episode of "Seinfeld" with Newman and Kramer driving a mail truck full of empties to Michigan? Just wondering...
