soulman
I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'm using 16 ga. Schoshe car stereo wire hooked up to my RF7's, and RC7. Is this just absurd? Should I get some "Monster cable"? Will I notice a difference? I have about 15 feet of span. If I should replace this wire, any recommendations? Overall, the car stereo wire seems to fork fine. Thanks alot, Scott
popbumper
Not ridiculous at all. There is NO NEED to upgrade to anything else wire-wise, you won't notice a difference. It seems fine because it is fine. Popbumper
cmdridq
Did you biwire them?

Like was already mentioned, if it works for you, and it sounds good, why bother "upgrading" the wire. If you did, most likely, you probably would not hear a difference. If you insist, find a dealer that will except returns and try the other stuff out. If you do find it makes a difference for the better, then you're golden. If not, just return the "magic" wire and stick with what you currently got.
Frzninvt
Schoche is a reputable company that has been making auto wire and accessories for years and I would say the quality is on par or better than the Monster Cable wire. I bought a bunch of Orion NTense "Wired" 10Ga for 25 cents a foot which is fabulous high quality wire and wire my Home Theater with it. I think the guy might even still had some, he had blue and red, I got the blue and it is sharp!
soulman
I didn't biwire the RF7's. I understand how to do this at the speaker terminals, but how do you biwire at the receiver? I have the Integra 6 series 5.1. Running two wires to the posts make a parellel cricuit, right? Lowering the ohms? Should I biwire? Is there a special wire for this purpose? Thnx, Scott
cmdridq
No, don't bother biwiring. You're fine the way you are right now.
