grady Posted November 15, 2004 Share Posted November 15, 2004 does the sub-out on an a/v reciever filter out the highs? if so can i split the sigal between powered sub and a power amp to run the lows on my main speakers. there are two sub-out (l and r). or should i try to find some kind of low pass filter to install between pre-amp out and power amp. i dont want to amplify a full range just to have it filtered in the x-over. grady Posted November 15, 2004 Author Share Posted November 15, 2004 my reciever is an older model h/k avr20ii that im running in parellel with a carver tfm 15 and when hooked to sud-out you can see the vu meeters jump with only high feq playing.do i need a low pass filter? also i can hear high feq through the subs in my nht 2.5i and in my klipsch ksw12.
