greg928gts
Hi, and welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of information here, as well as some great people. First of all, you might try searching for and reading related threads here on the two-channel forum. There is a wealth of information on different tube amps, preamps, and speaker combinations buried on this site. Secondly, for us to help with more specifics, we'll need more information about your musical tastes, room size, volume levels, budget, etc... You certainly are making a good choice in speakers IMO, and McIntosh tube gear is very nice too. Good luck! Greg
jt1stcav
Welcome, Rob. Looks like you already have a great selection planned (if you can win those auctions). Klipschorns and McIntosh tube components are a fantastic combo IMO, but we cannot really recommend the best sound for you...it's all up to you and your ears and what sounds good to you. Good luck! Daddy Dee
Rob, Welcome. Your selection of Khorns is one "can't go wrong" option. Those rascals are so efficient that it takes surprising little power to drive them. That is quite a different "worldview" than the one to which I was accustomed before Khorns. Macs are certainly well regarded among many fine options for amplification.
