Coytee
By (or tribute to?? King Frederick II, aka, "King Frederick the Great"??? circa 1988 Heard a nice piece of music on radio on way home. Called station to ask, the guy said it was the above. He also told me it might be hard to find as he thought it was out of print so to say. Anyone heard of it and know if/where I might find a copy? I did a basic internet search (google) and didn't find too much that seemed to reference this
LarryC
Frederick the Great was a composer, and flute player, lived a little earlier than 1988 -- 1712-1786 in fact. This CD at Amazon.com has a recording of his Sinfonia for Strings and Continuo in G major. Larry
