kenratboy
I can get them at a very good price. Panamax seems like a very good company (unlike Monster...) as far as quality, honestly, etc. They are pricy (does not apply to me), but good stuff costs money! Do you think it would be worth my while to pick one up for myself? It would be a nice little toy!
D-MAN
I had one (the something-1000), but it died. So maybe the reliability is an issue. Lasted maybe 5 or 6 years at the most. If it's cheap enough, go ahead and get one. DM
arthurs
I just picked up a 5300 at dealer cost and am very pleased with it.

MrMcGoo
The good thing about a Panamax is that it shuts off the power with sustained over or under voltages. There is a 20 amp model that is good with big amplifiers. The down side is that they wear out and are pricey. Bill
Istari
The 1000 had a lifetime warranty. Mine worked for about 5 years then had a loud clicking sound, I sent the unit to Panamax and they sent me a new one, at no cost! You might want to check on it... MrMcGoo
On new Panamax production, the warranty is 3 years. When my lifetime warranty 1000 died, they wanted an extra $100 to replace it with a model that displays line voltage. Bill

Unless it is very, very low - I would recommend other products out there that give you better protection and more features for less money.
