J.4knee
Maron, Good point, IMO they have sort of let the ball drop on all of the "Heritage" stuff in lieu of the "New" less costly products. This is a shame as Klipsch would not be here without the "Heritage" legacy. I do understand their need for cost effective production but I believe more emphasis on the Heritage products would be beneficial. It surely kept Mr. Paul in business. Their biggest problem is new product cost vs. the virtually indestructible used items. Could you imagine any other business having to contend with this? I doubt we will ever see Microsoft in such a quandary, certainly not GM, Ford. It is a unique problem having to compete head to head on a daily basis with your past. Polk, JBL. BOSE, B&W and any other speaker manufacturer dont have to contend with such an issue. This is a true testament to the man himself.
v3spitfire
What about the Patrician 800 corner horn? The owners manual says it goes down to 15hz. But back in those days, it doesn't say +- how many dbs. Judging buy its weight (315 pounds), and woofer size of 30 inches - I bet you could here it. My uncle has these and they are potent. ZAKO
The EV Patrition with the 30" woofer was not a horn system. Paul klipsch had pulled the licence. EV then had to work around the bass bin problem. The 30" woofer was their answere. it didnt sound as clean.
