minn_male42
What receiver/preamp are you going to use with this player?
TBrennan
If I was going for an expensive player I'd go with Pioneer, jsut to reward them for having kept laserdisc going all those years. Really.
nicholtl
Are you getting it for mainly DVD playback, or multichannel SACD/DVD-A playback?
Orange Peel
That's a tough question dude! I would have to lean towards the 3910, but the 59 is right there as well, they both have their strengths, etc. People that have the Elite say it's the best thing since sliced bread, and the ones that have the Denon feel the same. I say demo both at the local store, or home demo, and see what you like the best. If you are looking to spend that much on a DVD player, look at the Marantz DV9500, supposed to be the new King of the block, worth a look, but be prepared for around $1300 or so for that beast! GRB
Got my 59avi about two months ago. Replaced an Elite DV-05 with it. Paid $895 and it is worth every cent. Much improved picture and incredible improvement in sound. Much bigger soundstage. Better DVD-A than SACD but no complaints.
