brianw21
I am planning on doing a comparison test of some of the big woofers out there. I would like to include Klipsch in the test, say their New Reference sub? 1. SV CS-Ultra 2. Velodyne HGS-18 3. Sunfire True Subwoofer Sig. 4. Earthquake MKIV-15 As readers would you suggest any other $1000+ subs for the comparo? Results will be written up for http://www.hometheaterhifi.com Brian Weathehread brian.weatherhead@wgint.com

TheEAR
Very easy here, too easy... If youb want the most civilised(musical)sub the SVS Ultra is your top choice. And it can perform in a HT setup like few! If you want KING of LOW and huge output the HGS-18 could be your sub nirvana.NOT as musical as the SVS Ultra or Aerial Acoustics SW12. If you want a space saving sub with awesome output(almost HGS18 like)the Sunfire Signature sub is a Mike Tyson of subs. The size will not impress but when you pump up the volume you may end being knocked out! The Earthquake is like a larger Sunfire copy(in a way)and I will not recomend it.I like the Earthquake CinemaNova power amp but not their subs. And if you want OUTPUT,QUALITY,MUSICALITY you may just find the Revel B15 you best bet! TheEAR(s) Now theears
