CECAA850
Those of you with the infamous grill peg breakage problem while your speakers were under warranty. What was done about it by Klipsch? Were the grills merely replaced or is there some sort of upgrade? Just curious as I joined the broken peg club this weekend. Carl
MrMcGoo
There have been threads that describe home repairs to the broken pegs. They looked like they would work. Try a search; it should yield lots of information. Bill
Guest Anonymous
i would think not for sure that breaking the pegs are not covered under warrenty because it would fall under normal wear and tear or mis use and abuse, but i would call klipsch and ask and see what they think about it
Dylanl
Actually if you inform Klipsch they will repalce the grills with new ones. I just had mine come in a few weeks ago and others on this forum have done the same. No questions asked from Klipsch. Talk to your dealer. They did not even want the old ones back. I think Klipsch is aware of this problem that is why they quickly exchange them. These break way to often to be normal wear & tear. A mod. would be nice. picky
I took my broken grills back to my Klipsch dealer. He examined them and ordered me a new set as a warranty replacement. They were replaced by Klipsch with identical models. No charge.
CECAA850
I called my dealer today. The Klipsch guy that I bought from is off Mondays. I'll try back tomorrow. I don't anticipate any problems as he has been exceptional to work with in the past. A truly good retailer.
